Description
Cathedral of Flight Lockheed Starliner 701 Aviation Fine Art Photography
A Lockheed Starliner 701 stands beneath the sweeping architecture of its hangar, its polished aluminum skin reflecting the light, structure, and history surrounding it.
Photographed head-on, the aircrafts symmetry and unmistakable lines become the center of a composition built around geometry, reflection, and scale. The repeating arches of the hangar frame the Starliner almost like a cathedralturning an extraordinary historic aircraft into something sculptural.
The Starliner represents an era when long-range air travel combined ambitious engineering with an unmistakable sense of elegance. In this photograph, I wanted to capture more than the aircraft itself. I wanted to preserve the feeling of standing in front of a machine whose design still commands attention decades after it first flew.
Cathedral of Flight is aviation fine art created for collectors, pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and interiors where the history and beauty of flight deserve to be part of the room.
